Hosted by BOB OCONNOR

Hello. Hi - I am a friend of Paul Grantham's. I recently did the Pescadero training ride with the group and enjoyed it very much. As I rode the hills over in Santa Cruz I imagined a good ride in my own home turf... (This is an extremely beautiful ride -- Paul)

I live in the Central Valley, very close to Modesto, and about 30 minutes from the start of the foothills (about 90 miles from San Francisco). I can offer up a very good/challenging ride that encompasses varied terrain (flat, small hills, big hill!), and goes for about 52 miles. Little to no traffic. Exposed roads, so starting early is essential. Heat might be felt during the last 1/2 of the ride. I can offer 7 places to sleep at my house in Turlock (2 Queen mattresses, would require 2 people on each of them), 2 twin beds, and a sofa.

Proposed date - Saturday 9/11; start time of ride 7 AM. Best if people arrive the night before. About 90 mile drive from San Fran. If people are driving in just for the ride, we could postpone the ride start till 930 AM but it's better earlier in the morning. Please register if you are coming.

RSVP to: oconnorr (a) fosterfarms.com (209) 482-4060 if you plan to come or want more info.

Andrew Hillman I found out about the East Bay Sangha-palooza in Berkeley on Saturday that I wish to attend instead but I thank you for offering this attractive practice ride to us.
Andrew Hillman I'd appreciate one of the spots to sleep. To Stephanie - if you were to take BART to the East Bay, I think I can get a 2nd bicycle into the back of my Chevy Cavalier
Stephanie Dohar I don't have a car, but I'm willing to share a zipcar or contribute to costs of transport for someone who can offer me a ride. Prefer the early morning temperatures too...thank you for offering a place to sleep the night before, Bob!
